PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - President Barack Obama is making his third visit to Rhode Island as president to deliver a speech about the economy.

Obama arrived Thursday evening at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick and is staying overnight in the Providence area ahead of the Friday morning speech. He’ll be the first president in more than 50 years to sleep in Rhode Island.

The White House has not released any more details of what Obama plans to do while he is in the state.

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is rerouting 28 bus lines in downtown Providence and relocating several bus stops on Sabin Street until 10:30 a.m. Friday.
