BARRE, Vt. (AP) - Barre police say a 26-year-old local woman is facing armed robbery charges in robberies in Montpelier, Barre and Stowe.

Police say Koren Brand was arrested Wednesday after she was linked to the robberies that were reported on Sunday night and Tuesday.

In all three cases, the suspect entered a business and handed a person working there a note demanding cash.

The first robbery attempt was Sunday night at a Montpelier supermarket. Just over an hour later, a second robbery was reported at a Barre convenience story. On Tuesday the Union Bank in Stowe was robbed.

Police say they linked Brand to the three incidents.

She was being held for lack of $25,000 bail.

Brand’s lawyer could not be reached for comment.
