POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri woman is recovering from injuries after a tree that was being removed from an adjoining lot fell the wrong way and crashed into her house.

The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic (https://bit.ly/14xhyUm ) reports that Patricia Montiel of Poplar Bluff was injured Oct. 24 when kitchen cabinets were knocked off the wall and a microwave on a shelf fell. Montiel had bruises, including to her back. Her husband and two sons were not hurt.

The owner of the neighboring lot had workers cutting down a tree when it fell the opposite way than they expected.
