HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A 15-year-old girl has been charged with sharing a video of a sexual assault on a teenage boy, the sixth person charged in the case, police said.

The girl was charged with three counts of distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, the Kentucky New Era (https://bit.ly/1G23MOv) reported. Police said she shared a video of the assault with at least three other people.

A group of young men and teenagers sodomized the boy, who was incapacitated at a house party Oct. 12 in Hopkinsville, about an hour northwest of Nashville, Tennessee, police said.

The youth was taken to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries after the assault. He is recovering and has been released from the hospital, Sands Chewning, an attorney for his family told the newspaper.

Five others have been charged in the case.

Dayton R. Jones, 20 and Samuel Miller, 18, were charged with first-degree sodomy, promoting a sexual performance by a minor, use of a minor in a sexual performance and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Tyler R. Perry, 19, was charged with first-degree sodomy and tampering with physical evidence.

One 17-year-old faces first-degree sodomy and tampering with physical evidence charges; the other is accused of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

During a preliminary hearing for the adults, lawyers for the men questioned police evidence against their clients.

A motorcycle ride to benefit the victim and his family is set for Saturday in Hopkinsville.
