CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A 36-year-old Casper man accused of shooting another man in the abdomen during an argument about the victim’s girlfriend is scheduled to go to trial in April.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1tJQy3y ) Zechariah Jones’ trial on a charge of attempted second-degree murder is expected to last four days. He has pleaded not guilty in the Aug. 24 shooting.

Investigators say the two men agreed to meet at Riverside Park in Casper to settle an argument. Witnesses say Jones did not say anything to Albrecht before shooting him with a pistol.

Jones has said he did not shoot Albrecht, but was present during the shooting. Albrecht suffered a punctured stomach and liver.
