DENVER (AP) - Police have arrested a man after an “unknown substance” led to the evacuation of a Broomfield office building.

The Denver Post reported Friday (https://dpo.st/1sTRBZz ) that 42-year-old John Anthony Martinez, of Longmont, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal tampering and theft. He is due in court Dec. 11.

Police say an employee found a white, powdery substance on a desk Thursday, prompting the evacuation. More than 100 people had to leave work for several hours.

Two employees who came in contact with the powder were decontaminated as a precaution, but later tests determined the substance was not hazardous.
