DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware high school students have spoken, and they like Democrats.

Students from around the state gathered Friday at Legislative Hall in Dover for the 2014 Student Mock Election Convention.

The convention gave students the opportunity to vote on candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, attorney general, treasurer and auditor. And when the results were in, Democrats had won every statewide race.

The students will now to wait to see how their preferences compare to the real election results from adult voters after the polls close Tuesday.

Democratic Gov. Jack Markell told the students that the mock election is usually a pretty good predictor of how the actual election goes.
