COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Co-workers of a pizza delivery man say he wasn’t even scheduled to work the night he was shot and killed while making a delivery, but had switched shifts so he could take his daughter trick-or-treating.

Police say 45-year-old James Crabtree, Jr. was robbed and shot multiple times Wednesday night while delivering pizza on the northeast side of Columbus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1wh10k5 ) Crabtree had switched shifts to work Wednesday so that he could be off Thursday night to take his five-year-old daughter Serenity trick-or-treating. She was planning to dress up as Spiderwoman.

Police say they haven’t yet identified a suspect, and it doesn’t appear that Crabtree was set up.
