VINTON, Iowa (AP) - A Texas driver who killed two adults and a toddler in an Iowa crash has been sentenced to 75 years in prison.

KCRG-TV reports (https://bit.ly/107fdmZ ) a judge delivered the sentence to 40-year-old Raul Salazar on Thursday. Salazar pleaded guilty in September to three counts of vehicular homicide in exchange for prosecutors dropping charges of preventing apprehension and drunken driving. The judge sentenced him to 25 years for each homicide charge.

Authorities say Salazar didn’t stop at a stop sign in Benton County in August 2013 and hit a car carrying the three victims with his truck. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
