CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - A Chandler police officer who died in an off-duty traffic accident in Gilbert will be remembered this weekend.

Police say a funeral service for Officer Bryant Holmes is scheduled for Sunday morning at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler.

A procession to the cemetery will leave from Stake Center and travel on the San Tan Freeway up to Arizona Avenue.

The 34-year-old officer was riding his motorcycle to work Tuesday when authorities say he was struck by an SUV that ran a red light.

Holmes was wearing a helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene.

Authorities have not said whether any charges will be filed.

Holmes, a five-year veteran of the department, is survived by his wife and four children.
