HONOLULU (AP) - A pair of early morning accidents Thursday on the Farrington Highway left two women in critical condition.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://bit.ly/10FiHhi) reports a 51-year-old woman walking at 12:10 a.m. near Kapolei Shopping Center was struck by a car.

Honolulu Traffic Division spokeswoman Lt. Carlene Lau says the woman was taken to a hospital. Her condition was briefly upgraded to serious and then returned to critical.

About 20 minutes after the first accident, a 27-year-old Waianae woman was critically injured when she fell out of a car driven by her boyfriend.

The woman was injured near Waianae High School. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
