BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) - A Broken Arrow man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping his co-worker outside the fast-food restaurant where they worked.

The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/1sPTwhW ) 26-year-old Jose Aguayo was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to first-degree rape.

Aguayo and the woman worked together at a Carl’s Jr. restaurant. The victim tells police that Aguayo made inappropriate gestures and comments to her during their shift in April 2011. She says he waited for her outside the restaurant in his truck and told her he wanted to apologize.

Authorities say Aguayo locked the doors and assaulted her once other co-workers left. He evaded arrest until July.
