OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - The Omaha Salvation Army will celebrate Halloween by throwing a free “Pumpkin Patch Party” at its Kroc Center in southeast Omaha.

The party begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday and runs through 6:30 p.m.

Children of all ages and their families are welcome to attend in costume. Last year, more than 600 children and parents attended the annual party.

Fifteen carnival-style games, a bounce house and craft activities will be available for children. Families can get their photo taken as a keepsake from the event. Those attending also will receive a free hot dog dinner and bag of candy.
