HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police have arrested a man who they say fatally stabbed a man two years ago.

Thirty-one-year-old German Cruz remained in the Harris County Jail on Friday after officers charged him with murder this week. Police say he admitted to killing 48-year-old Anthony Hall in August 2012.

Witnesses tell police a man attacked Hall in a parking lot and fled on foot. Hall suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say unspecified physical evidence linked Cruz to the scene.

Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney for Cruz.
