GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 30-year-old man from Texas was killed and a woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on an Interstate 15 exit northwest of Great Falls.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the vehicle was northbound on the interstate early Friday when it took the Vaughn exit and nearly ran off the left edge of the road. The driver corrected to the right, overcorrected to the left and the vehicle went into a broadside skid before rolling.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/1wl4Fxd) both were thrown from the vehicle.

The driver, from Galveston, Texas, died at the scene while his 28-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital in Great Falls. Her condition was not released.

The Cascade County sheriff’s office was withholding the names of the victims until family members could be notified.
