EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Eugene police suspect a University of Oregon student and his friends may be responsible for more than 10 burglaries since April.

The Register-Guard reports (https://bit.ly/1wNFkMr ) most of the victims are other UO students who lost electronics that were sold online.

The 21-year-old was cited on a single charge of identity theft and released earlier this week while the investigation continues.

Police say he may have tried to shift blame to a pair of homeless people by giving them a stolen credit card.
