KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - Flathead County authorities have identified the two men who died in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 near Somers.

Sheriff Chuck Curry says the crash shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday killed 61-year-old John R. Bradstreet of Kalispell and 73-year-old Michael B. Berman of Somers.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Bradstreet was northbound in a pickup truck when he swerved into the right side guardrail and then into the southbound lane, where he struck a Jeep being driven by Berman.

Both men died at the scene. A third vehicle was unable to avoid hitting Bradstreet’s pickup, but the driver wasn’t injured.

Trooper Rick Mehring says a witness reported seeing Bradstreet swerving all over the road before the crash, but investigators hadn’t determined why.
