NEW LONDON, N.H. (AP) - The owner of a wood products business in New London, New Hampshire, hopes to rebuild soon after a fire broke out in a firewood kiln and spread inside the building.

The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/1xHGoja) no one was New England Wood Products at the time of the fire early Thursday. The business sells kiln-dried firewood to customers for home heating, and to businesses for cooking.

New London Fire Chief Jay Lyon said the fire likely was started by a spark inside the kiln and burned several cords of wood housed in metal crates inside the kiln.

Business owner Pam Larpenter said she and her husband will rebuild as soon as possible. She said customers will see “a little bit” of an interruption in services.
