BOSTON (AP) - Absentee ballots are now available for the Nov. 4 election in Massachusetts.

Secretary of State William Galvin says registered voters can apply for absentee ballots by mail or in person at their local city or town clerk’s office or election commission.

Galvin is urging those who intend to vote absentee to apply for a ballot as soon as possible, though applications can be received up until noon on Nov. 3.

Completed ballots must arrive at local elections offices by 8 p.m. on Nov. 4, the same time polls close.
