DENVER (AP) - Arizona quarterback Drew Stanton is being evaluated for a concussion after being hit by Von Miller in the third quarter Sunday.

Stanton was letting go of a pass when the Denver Broncos linebacker hit him in the chest area. Stanton sat on the bench before he was taken into the locker room.

Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson hurt his left ankle in the fourth quarter and his return was questionable.

With Stanton out, third-string QB Logan Thomas stepped in and threw his first career TD pass, an 81-yard strike to Andre Ellington in the third quarter.

Stanton was making his third straight start with quarterback Carson Palmer out because of a nerve problem in his throwing shoulder. The 30-year-old Stanton is 11 of 26 for 118 yards.

Arizona defensive end Calais Campbell left the game with a right knee injury. His return is questionable.

Denver running back Montee Ball also is questionable after suffering a groin injury in the third quarter.
