JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - A western New York man is in jail after being charged with firing a shotgun at a neighbor following an argument.

The Buffalo News reports (https://bit.ly/1vI17nd ) that 29-year-old Demetrius McBride of Jamestown is in Chautauqua County Jail on charges of assault, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of a firearm.

Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department tells the News that police were called to McBride’s address to investigate a report of shots fired Saturday morning. McBride eventually came out of his house and surrendered.

Police said McBride and a 26-year-old unidentified man were arguing when McBride went to his house, got a shotgun, and fired at the neighbor. The man was treated for injuries at a hospital.

McBride was arraigned in Jamestown City Court Sunday morning.
