AMSTERDAM (AP) - Ajax drew with PEC Zwolle 0-0 in Amsterdam on Sunday, allowing PSV Eindhoven to seal its hold on first place in the Dutch league.

Zwolle won the Dutch Cup last season and is now level with defending league champion Ajax on points, two behind PSV.

Zwolle goalkeeper Warner Hahn weathered an initial assault by Ajax, and then both sides had chances. Strikers Kolbeinn Sigthorsson and Lasse Schone failed to capitalize for Ajax, while Tomas Necid came close for Zwolle.

PSV made a 3-0 home win over Excelsior more dramatic than necessary after defender Jeffrey Bruma was sent off at the hour mark for tripping. PSV coach Phillip Cocu was also ejected when he wandered too far from the bench to dispute the Bruma call.
