Editors, News Directors:

The Associated Press is aware of reports that emergency responders in a Dallas suburb are transporting a patient with Ebola symptoms who claims to have had contact with the man who had the first case of the disease diagnosed in the U.S.

The AP is working to confirm whether the patient is among those believed to have had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, who died of the disease at a Dallas hospital Wednesday morning.
