MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) - Police say a Marshfield man bilked 15 people out of about $46,000 in a scam involving Green Bay Packers tickets he never delivered.

Marshfield Police Lt. Darren Larson says the 37-year-old was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of fraud. He says police reports were sent to the Wood County district attorney for a charging decision.

Larson says most of the victims’ money is gone. He says the suspect lost it gambling.

Victims lived in Auburndale, Chippewa Falls, Fond du Lac, Marshfield, Plover, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids.

Larson says the scam lasted only about a month before it began to unravel. He says some people went to Lambeau Field to pick up their tickets at the will call window but found there were none. Some victims received full or partial refunds.
