CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - A Cedar Rapids school district says two students reported that a substitute teacher pulled their hair.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG (https://bit.ly/1o12b5I ) says the College Community School District school sent a letter home with third-grade students on Friday, saying that the two students said “the guest teacher pulled their hair in order to get their attention and/or redirect them.”

District administrators declined to provide any specifics and would say only that the incident had been investigated and that appropriate action had been taken.

Elizabeth Muntz told the station that her daughter was one of the two students. She says the district told her the substitute teacher would no longer be working for the district.
