JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say two West Tennessee men have been charged with murder in the fatal shootings of two men whose bodies were found in a vehicle in the middle of a road three years ago.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that Darius Alston and Darius Mitchell have been indicted on charges including first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.

The TBI began investigating the deaths of 26-year-old Eric Lee Washington and 25-year-old Jonathan Lavell Jones on Sept. 4, 2011. Lauderdale County sheriff’s deputies had discovered the bodies of the two men in a vehicle in the middle of Tate Road in Henning.

Alston is being held on unrelated federal charges at a prison in Tipton County. Mitchell is being held in the Lauderdale County Jail on an unrelated homicide charge.
