CHENEY, Wash. (AP) - Eastern Washington University says its fall enrollment has set a record for the sixth consecutive year. The headcount for fall quarter is up 662 students, thanks mostly to a big jump in freshmen enrollment.

School officials say the university in Cheney has 13,453 students this fall.

They say diversity of the student population has also increased this year. And more students are living on campus than ever before.
