BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (AP) - The funeral for a Connecticut firefighter who died in a house blaze will be held Monday.

The Hartford Firefighters Association says calling hours for Kevin Bell are set for 10 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m., both at First Cathedral Church in Bloomfield.

The 48-year-old Bell died and three firefighters were injured in the fire Tuesday evening in Hartford’s North End. Bell was the first Hartford firefighter to die in the line of duty in 40 years. Residents of house got out safely.

The fire’s cause remains under investigation.

One of the three injured firefighters, 29-year-old Jason Martinez of Manchester, remained in critical condition Thursday at Bridgeport Hospital. The others were discharged from a hospital.

Officials say Bell’s autopsy was inconclusive and blood tests will be done.
