GRANITE CITY, Ill. (AP) - A Madison man has been charged with a felony in a hit-and-run that killed a Granite City High School student.

The Belleville News-Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1w0cnKv ) 26-year-old Son Nguyen was charged Wednesday in Madison County with failure to report an accident involving a death. He is accused of killing 16-year-old Daniel Embrey and injuring another teen in a crash Monday in Granite City.

Police say the second teen received treatment for a non-life-threatening leg injury. A third teen wasn’t harmed. Neither of their names has been released by police.

An investigation led police to Nguyen’s home in Madison. They say his car showed signs of the collision.

A state’s attorney says the investigation is ongoing and more charges are likely.

Online court records didn’t indicate an attorney.
