LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A woman has settled a lawsuit she filed over the death of her mother who’d been held in the Lancaster County Jail.

The Lincoln Journal Star says (https://bit.ly/1neki7H ) the lawsuit filed by Ashley Pillard was dismissed last week. Details were not released. The attorneys declined to comment.

Pillard had sued Correct Care Solutions, which was contracted to provide jail medical services. The lawsuit says the company provided deficient services for her mother, 56-year-old Donna Pillard.

She was arrested on June 4, 2011, on suspicion of drug sales. The lawsuit says Donna Pillard had several health issues, including heart surgery in 2006. While in jail she wrote her son and said she wasn’t being given any of her medications. She was pronounced dead at a Lincoln hospital on June 7, 2011.
