LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Lincoln police say a pedestrian has been critically injured after being struck by a minivan while crossing the street.

Capt. Danny Reitan says the man was hit Wednesday night at a crosswalk but didn’t have a signal to walk. He says the minivan was traveling about 40 mph.

The man was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police haven’t released the man’s identity and are investigating the crash.

No charges have been reported.
