TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police say officers have fatally shot an armed man at a home while his children were nearby.

Officer Demita Kenard tells KOTV-TV the man pulled out a weapon near officers who were investigating a domestic violence case. She says officers weren’t there to serve a warrant or arrest him.

Police say the man was outside the home and two children were inside.

Kenard says about four shots were fired after the man drew his weapon and at least one hit him. It’s unclear if the man shot at police.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. His identity hasn’t been released.

No other injuries were reported.

Police haven’t said how many officers were involved or released their identities.
