PITTSBURGH (AP) - A suspended family doctor from Pittsburgh’s North Hills suburbs has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for receiving child pornography on his computer.

Forty-eight-year-old Dr. Mark Janosko, of McCandless, pleaded guilty in June and sentenced Thursday to 88 months in prison by a federal judge.

Investigators found more than 600 images on his home computer when they searched it last July. The sexually explicit images involved boys aged 5 to 14, some in sadomasochistic situations.

The Allegheny County district attorney’s office also reviewed the case, but determined there was no evidence Janosko had images of his patients or engaged in any inappropriate behavior with them..

Janosko’s state medical license remains suspended.

The doctor told the judge, “I’m not a monster. I’m just a man who made a very terrible mistake.”
