HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A New York City man is going on trial in connection with a shootout in Connecticut that left three people dead.

A Hartford Superior Court jury is scheduled to begin hearing evidence Thursday in the trial of 35-year-old Horvil “Trix” Lebrick of Brooklyn.

Lebrick has pleaded not guilty to felony murder and conspiracy charges alleging he fatally shot 26-year-old Shawnalee Hudson in her East Hartford apartment in May 2010. Police say Lebrick was involved in an attempted robbery and home invasion that escalated into a gun fight.

Police say Lebrick’s two accomplices, 21-year-old twins Andrew and Andraw Moses, also of Brooklyn, were shot to death in a gunfight with Hudson’s ex-boyfriend, Omari Barrett. Police didn’t arrest Barrett, who was wounded in the shootout.
