WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say one driver was killed and another hurt when their vehicles collided head-on in Wilmington.

It happened about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Philadelphia Pike. Troopers say a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a Newark man was traveling north when crossed the center line and hit a Nissan Altima driven by 33-year-old Omar Morris of Wilmington.

Police say both vehicles spun around before coming to rest. Officers say the driver of the Cavalier was extricated from his vehicle and died at Christiana Hospital. Police say he would not be identified until relatives were notified.

Authorities say Morris was taken to Christiana Hospital for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation.
