BLACK FOREST, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say two teenagers were killed and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Black Forest.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Eric Zachareas says 17-year-old Beau Begier and 18-year-old Ryan Pappas, both of Monument, were killed when the car they were in crashed into a grove of trees near the intersection of Hodgen and Roller Coaster roads shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.

The 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, and one of his passengers, also 17, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Investigators believe speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.

The driver was arrested, and the State Patrol is seeking charges that include vehicular homicide. His name has not been released.
