BOGALUSA, La. (AP) - Adults under the legal drinking age can now spend time in Bogalusa bars where all patrons wear armbands to show whether it’s legal to serve them alcohol.

The Daily News (https://bit.ly/1rxlsgk ) reports the City Council voted 5-1 last week to change an ordinance barring anyone under age 21 from businesses that serve alcoholic drinks. That ordinance had been passed in July.

The new version lets bars admit people age 18 through 20 as long as every customer wears an armband: green for legal drinkers, red for those who have to stick to soda pop.
