DANA POINT, Calif. (AP) - Orange County authorities say a 27-year-old man arrested while holding a lighter at the scene of a commercial fire in Dana Point has posted bail and was released.

City News Service says Alex Espinoza was booked Sunday on suspicion of burglary and arson for allegedly setting the blaze that gutted one unit of the mixed office-retail building and caused smoke damage to 10 others.

Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock says the Laguna Niguel resident was found inside the burning building clutching a lighter. It wasn’t immediately known if Espinoza has a lawyer. His bail was set at $50,000 when he was arrested.

Officials say the fire early Sunday caused $300,000 worth of damage to the Dana Point Arts Plaza and $150,000 worth of damage to its contents.
