CHAPIN, S.C. (AP) - Politicians from all around South Carolina came to Chapin to walk in the town’s annual Labor Day parade.

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and independent U.S. Senate candidate Thomas Ravenel were there Monday morning, along with Democratic lieutenant governor candidate Bakari Sellers.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Vincent Sheheen and independent candidate for governor Tom Ervin also attended the parade in the town in northern Lexington County.

The parade has been a traditional stop for politicians with just over two months left before the general election.

Town officials say the parade will also include a classic car show and a children’s carnival.
