SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A San Antonio clothing store owner has pleaded guilty to leading a wire fraud scheme of nearly $1.6 million.

A U.S. attorney says 47-year-old Lea Ann Blystone entered the plea Tuesday in federal court. She owned and managed Hip Dingo stores in San Antonio, Boerne and Fredericksburg. She admitted to cheating Rockin’ J Ranch and land development company Rinco of Texas Inc. between 2009 and 2011. Prosecutors say she charged for fake promotional services at shows, malls and other events.

Blystone used some of the money to purchase items for her business and to pay employees. She agreed to forfeit store inventory, real estate properties and vehicles to the government.

Blystone faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
