LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - U.S. Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman have announced that two Arkansas volunteer fire departments will receive grants from the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

The Grubbs Volunteer Fire Department in Jackson County will receive $26,315 and the Oden-Pencil Bluff Volunteer Fire Department in Montgomery County will receive $44,600.

The Grubbs department will use the funds to purchase self-contained breathing apparatuses and the Oden-Pencil Bluff department will purchase both breathing apparatuses and turnout gear.
