FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in western Arkansas are trying to identify a body that was found in the Arkansas River in Sebastian County.

Sebastian County Sheriff’s Lt. Philip Pevehouse says the body was reported Thursday morning by a riverboat captain in the Arbuckle Island area. Pevehouse says the body was recovered about 5 miles downstream from Vache Grasse Park.
