INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Indianapolis Colts plan to donate proceeds from Monday night’s 50-50 raffle to domestic violence agencies across Indiana.

The announcement made by team owner Jim Irsay’s three daughters, who each hold the title of vice chair, comes just three days after Ray Rice was released by the Baltimore Ravens and subsequently suspended indefinitely by the NFL after a video showed him knocking out his then-fiancee with a punch to the face. The two later married.

Irsays’ daughters issued a joint statement saying the Colts had donated $100,000 earlier this year to the Julian Center, a domestic violence shelter in Indianapolis. They call domestic violence one of the greatest threats to families.
