SEATAC, Wash. (AP) - The Port of Seattle says a Southwest Airlines flight to Denver was delayed just before takeoff following an unspecified security incident involving a passenger.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport spokesman Peter McGraw said he could not give details of the incident Thursday because of an ongoing investigation, but he said the aircraft was never in danger. Authorities detained the passenger, who was questioned by Port of Seattle police and the FBI.

The incident began about 12:30 p.m. as the plane was on the runway preparing to take off. Passengers and their luggage were removed from the flight and re-screened in an abundance of caution. The flight was delayed for a few hours.
