BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) - Police say a man and woman found dead in Biddeford motel room likely overdosed on drugs.

The Portland Press Herald (https://bit.ly/1pQvKAV ) reports Police Chief Roger Beaupre says investigators found no evidence of homicide or injuries. Beaupre says the state Medical Examiner’s Office is indicating the deaths of 28-year-old Daniel Pelletier and 31-year-old Lynda Norton look like drug overdoses. They were renting a room at the Sleepy Hollow Motel for about a week.

Police say drug paraphernalia including needles were found in the motel room. They did not specify which drugs the pair overdosed on.

A motel manager found the bodies on Tuesday evening. Police said that Pelletier and Norton’s most recent address was the motel room.
