WINDER, Ga. (AP) - Barrow County sheriff’s officials say a woman has been arrested after packaged methamphetamine was delivered to an apartment in Winder.

Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Matt Guthas says deputies and Winder police executed a search warrant at an apartment Tuesday and found more than 569 grams of packaged crystal meth. Guthas says the street value of the drug was about $62,000.

Guthas says authorities were notified of a suspicious package being shipped to the apartment from Mexico. Guthas says undercover agents delivered the package to 25-year-old Lucero Arroyo, who had opened it before authorities served the warrant.

Authorities say Arroyo is charged with meth possession, possession with intent to distribute and meth trafficking. Arroyo is being held without bond. It’s unclear if she has an attorney.

Guthas says the investigation is ongoing.
