CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Lowcountry residents can get ready for 2015 and help local animals with the release of a firefighter pinup calendar.

Photos of 15 firefighters are included in the calendar which raises money for the Charleston Animal Society, which was founded 140 years ago.

The calendar is being released at a Friday evening event in Charleston during which attendees can bid on the firefighters during a live dating auction.

Last year, all 5,000 of the calendars were sold, raising more than $100,000 for the animal society’s medical fund to treat abused and sick animals.
