BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) - A man has been ordered to serve at least 60 years in prison for killing a woman whose body was found at a tree farm in southern Michigan.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports (https://bcene.ws/1rV8pj0 ) Jackie McConnell was sentenced Friday to 60 to 90 years in the January slaying of Donna Frost.

McConnell confessed to the murder and told police where to find Frost’s body 12 days after police say the Albion man killed her and left her body covered with debris in a pit.

A jury last month found the 48-year-old McConnell guilty of second-degree murder.
