RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Preliminary autopsy results for a Box Elder who was found dead this week show he died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office found the body of 49-year-old Dick Mashek on Tuesday afternoon at a home in Box Elder. The office released the results of the autopsy Friday.

Kelly Croyle, 23, has been charged with second-degree murder. She remains in custody at the Pennington County Jail.

The case has been turned over to the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
