SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Organizers of the Savannah Book Festival say several big-name authors are scheduled to be featured at next year’s event.

Organizers said in a statement that New York Times best-selling author Janet Evanovich will open the festival with a presentation at the Savannah College of Art and Design Feb. 12. It will be Evanovich’s first time at the event, and the first time the festival has featured a female author as the opening speaker.

Evanovich is the author of 21 Stephanie Plum mystery novels.

Officials say National Public Radio commentator and New York Times best-seller P.J. O’Rourke will deliver a keynote address on Feb. 13.
